We have kicked off our learning with some brilliant activities in Froglets and have found soooo many wonderful bugs in our garden! On the 20th May we are celebrating BEES so bring out the stripes and celebrate these wonderful creatures with us 🙂

After the success of our daffodil plants, we decided to plant some potatoes. First, we put stones at the bottom to help the water drain out, then we added some compost, planted 4 seed potatoes, and covered them in more compost. We hope they grow so we can eat them for our lunch! We have also planted peas and beans in our mud kitchen garden. We have talked about the roots going down, sucking up the water and the shoots shooting up to see the sunshine! I wonder if you are growing anything at home…..?

We hope you all enjoyed the beautiful daffodil plants we have grown for you this term 🙂 The children enjoyed fingerpainting hearts to add to their pots before taking them home to enjoy with you all! Happy Mother’s Day to you all!

We have loved world book day in Froglets this year…. we have listened to stories all day, made beautiful bookmarks to take home and enjoyed talking about our favourite characters! We were joined by tigers and lions, gecko’s and unicorns, Spiderman and Mario, pirates and princesses, sloths and giraffes and so many more crazy charaters! Amazing costumes…. Fabulous Books…. Lots of happy Froglets! What a brilliant day 🙂

Our book corners are very well used at Froglets… lots of space to chill out and read with a friend or for some peaceful time alone 🙂

This week we have all been brushing our teeth at school! I am often asked how we manage to do this hygienically so I have attached some pictures of the funky buses we use to keep the brushes clean.

We brush for 2 minutes at 1pm every day and listen to a funny song while we brush…. Here is the link if you would like to listen at home.

This week we have been learning more about our book for this half term, ‘Dear Zoo.’ We worked together to create the containers to put in the right animal from the story and used them to retell the book!

I wonder which pet you would like the zoo to send you?

We have also been playing with a small world zoo, painting pattern snakes and helping make the pets better in our vet surgery.

Thank you for all of your pet photos – so far in Froglets we have 4 guinea pigs, 3 cats, 1 dog and a gecko called Norbert! Please do keep sending me your photos… and if you do not have a pet at home I wonder which pet you would choose?

We would like to wish all of our Froglet families a very Happy New Year! Welcome back to the Spring Term & some cold weather! Please remember to send Froglets in with hats, gloves and warm waterproof coats as we love to explore the garden – even when it is chilly! 🙂

Today we all made Christmas crowns to wear while we enjoyed our Christmas lunch in Froglets. Thank you to everyone in the kitchen…. It was delicious! Merry Christmas to all our Froglet families – see you for more fun in 2025!!

We have welcomed in December in Froglets with an explosion of tinsel and glitter! Every Froglets has made a sparkly star for our Christmas Hoop which is displayed in the hall alongside a hoop made by every class in the school. We have been using playdough to make star shapes, learning lots of Christmas songs, and decorating the Christmas tree with LOTS of tinsel…. whilst dressed up as Santa!

We hope to see as many of you as possible at our craft afternoon next Thursday at 2.15 to celebrate, craft and sing with us! Merry Christmas Everyone!
