We have had a lovely first full week in Froglets. It has been great to see the older froglets welcoming in the new ones and showing them where to find everything! Lots of fun to be had, inside and out (as long as we dodge the big rain showers!).

Today we a very frosty day with temperatures at -4! We wrapped up warm before enjoying a wintery walk in the Orchard to discover beautiful ice crystals, frosty leaves and crunchy grass!

Each Froglet made their own sparkly star for our Christmas hoop! This year we made beautiful stars which link to our nighttime stars from our key text, ‘Wow! Said the Owl.’ Our hoop is proudly hanging in the main school hall with hoops from every class in the school. We hope you will spot it when you come to see us sing next week 🎶

We have been so busy enjoying our Autumn topic exploring colours I have forgotten to take any photos of our activities! Hopefully the Froglets have come home talking about colour hunts, large scale colour mixing with vehicles, painting rainbows, colour sorting and enjoying our key text “Wow! Said the owl.” We have spotted so many beautiful rainbows we have even had to add a rainbow to our daily weather check! I wonder if the Froglets can sing you our song about the weather? 🌈

We have been busy in Froglets creating our Autumn tree and talking about what we can see all around us in Autumn. We have been looking for beautiful leaves, all different colours and counting conkers! Sometimes if we are quiet in the garden we spot a squirrel looking for acorns in the Orchard and watching the leaves fall off our enormous sycamore tree! Happy Autumn Everyone!

We have kickstarted our, ‘I like me’ learning his week by making faces from all sorts of different materials… we have made play dough faces, faces with sticks and stones, faces with collage materials and paint too! We would love to add your baby photos and family photos to our display boards so please do send them in 😀

Welcome to the Autumn Term! it has been lovely to meet all our new families and to welcome back our returning froglets. The children have had a great start to the term and have made some lovely new friendships!
Today I am introducing Mrs Small and Mrs Warren. These 2 ladies are in Froglets every day with Mrs Small in the Pond classrooms and Mrs Warren based in the LilyPad classroom. Mrs Warren loves pink, sparkles and music and Mrs Small loves making things, her dog Charlie and fudge!

We had an amazing time at the beach with our families and friends! 38 families came to join us to splash in the waves, collect shells and rocks, decorate a giant mermaid, build a sandcastle city and play with the enormous parachute! We had a glorious day in the sunshine! ☀️
