What makes me special?

We have kickstarted our LCC focus for this half term with lots of activities all about us! We have been making faces using different materials, looking after the babies in the home corner, making our families with compare bears, and painting our portraits. Thank you for your baby and family photos – please keep sending them in 🙂

Achieve 4 All 🌞

On Fridays Achieve 4 All come to visit Froglets to help us play some PE games and learn how to use different types of sports equipment. Today Mr Blackmore visited us and we played a game where we pretended to be different animals. Then we used beanbags and tennis rackets to play a balancing game.

The Pond and The Lily Pad

We are lucky to have 2 beautiful classrooms with exciting activities and resources in each one. During our morning and afternoon sessions, your child has time to explore both classroom spaces and our lovely outdoor garden as well.

On Wednesday 20th September we have a stay-and-play session from 3.15-4pm if you would like to come and explore our environment with your child. See you then!

Welcome to Froglets!

Transport Morning!

What a brilliant time we all had last Wednesday for our transport morning. We were joined by Exeter and District Model Engineering Society with their steam train and everyone loved having a little ride and seeing how the train worked.

There were lots of other activities to explore and it was great to see children working alongside their adults to build their own vehicles!

What a fantastic celebration of a fun topic, term and year in Froglets! Thank you to everyone who came along!

Sports Day Fun!

WOW, what a great we had! All Froglets were sporting their coloured t-shirts and were raring to go. There was balancing, throwing, weaving in and out of cones and running with water buckets. It was great to see everyone joining in and giving all the events a try! Thank you to all the parents and carers that came along, it was great to have so many of you join us. The ice poles at the end were the perfect treat to finish the afternoon off.

What happened to Jack’s beans?

We have been loving exploring the Jack and the Bean stalk story. We have put actions to the story and we are using a story map to help with our retelling (see if they can share the story with you at home!) We have even been busy planting beans and seeds in our garden area. Today we had an EGGciting discovery! 5 golden eggs were at the bottom of our Beanstalk – we don’t know how they got there but we enjoyed thinking of ideas. We decided to see what they were like inside and then we all made scrambled egg with them. We ate our eggs for cafe this morning and imagined we were the giant eating his breakfast in his castle.
