This week we have been focusing on Fireworks as the start of our 1/2 term topic focussed on ‘Wow!’ We loved watching them on the board and talking about how they sound and the colours we saw. We have started creating a large collaborative piece of artwork… Watch this space see it next week when it is complete!

We have continued our learning around the question… ‘who lives in my house’ this week by painting houses and thinking about the shapes needed for doors, windows and the roof. We have also talked about the number on our door at home. We have continued to think about who lives in my family and have used our binoculars to ‘Peepo!’ our friends. We hope you like our work!

On a Tuesday afternoon while Mrs Knight has some time to plan and prepare the lovely Mr Morgan comes to Froglets! He often brings some exciting PE equipment for us to play with in preparation for PE lessons in Reception.

This week we have been reading the story ‘Peepo!’ We have enjoyed looking at the pictures in the book and joining in with the repeated phrases used to tell the story. We have also made binoculars to ‘Peepo!’ through them to see what we can see… we even spotted cows in the Orchard and a stripy cat who got stuck up the tree!

This is our Class Charter. We have all added our handprints to ‘agree’ to the statements and we will be looking at this over the next few weeks together in class. We have the right… to be happy, to be safe, to be healthy and to learn. We have the responsibility… to listen, to respect others, to make the right choice and to be kind. These statements all link in to the UNICEF articles we focus on fro our Rights Respecting Schools initiative.

Yes you read that correctly… Yesterday we started making our Christmas cards! You will be sent home your child’s artwork with an order form over the next week. More details to come… can you guess what they might become?

What an amazing start we have all made this September! We have welcomed back lots of Froglets and enjoyed meeting some new faces too. We have been busy outside enjoying the beautiful weather and playing in the Nursery garden, making mud pies in the mud kitchen, balancing and practising our throwing skills, reading stories, playing with the babies and so much more! Inside we have loved singing and telling stories together, painting, play dough, writing letters home and practicing our counting skills.

 

Wow! What can we say? So much fantastic learning has taken place at home over the last 4 months! Well done if you’ve baked, drawn pictures, played games and explored the outdoors- you have all done a brilliant job and we are so proud of you! Here is the final round up on our last week of term.
